Latest News:  Home Insulation Scheme

We now have some great news. If you live in a Home Insulation Scheme Area (H.I.S.), We could help you stop wasting energy in your home, reduce your fuel bills & save money.

The Home Insulation Scheme is Scottish Government funded, local authority endorsed, and is delivered by "The Energy Saving Trust". It is an area based initiative that energy saving advice and measures are designed for designated areas of Scotland, and it is also contributing towards meeting Scotland's challenge targets for reducing carbon emissions and fuel poverty.

Households throughout Scotland have already benefited from the Home Insulation Scheme since it will be launched in November 2009, now it has just been extended to 90,000 more homes including 10 council areas including:

Dundee - 8,437

Angus - 13,577

There will be teams of Home Energy Assessors who will work their way through these areas from April 2010, taking a street by street / door by door approach.  If your home is one of those to benefit from the scheme, you will be given prior notice of when the Home Energy Assessors will be in your area.

All Home Energy Assessors are Disclosure Scotland approved and will be easily identified by their Home Insulation Scheme uniform and their photographic identification cards that they will be carrying.
