Scarf are supporting Existing Homes Alliance Scotland in advocating for clear policies to accelerate Scotland’s transition to net zero through an open letter to our First Minister Humza Yousaf.

In this, we are supporting energy efficiency, clean heating, and the eradication of fuel poverty, standing alongside more than thirty other organisations representing third party organisations and all parts of the supply chain.

David Mackay, Co-CEO of Scarf said

It has been several years since the Scottish Government published its Heat in Buildings Strategy. Scarf as a member of the Existing Homes Alliance fully support this call to action.

Scarf wants to see a Heat and Building Bill that supports Scotland in working towards a just transition, ensuring that the drive to NetZero leaves no one behind and that Scotland receives the great economic benefit created through a growing industry ensuring thousands of jobs are created in each Local Authority.”

We urge the Scottish Government to fulfil its promise to consult on proposed standards and introduce the Heat in Buildings Bill. Certainty and clear guidelines are key to our collective success in creating a sustainable, warm, and affordable future for all.
